Emergency Nursing 2024 attendees will get the chance to collect five collectible cards hidden throughout the conference space as part of Emergency Quest: Mystery.

Amid the education and social events at Emergency Nursing 2024, ENA has intertwined two games throughout the conference to inject fun ways for attendees to interact with each other and learn about all that’s available to them at the conference and beyond.

After its successful debut at Emergency Nursing 2023, Emergency Quest is back, with new clues to solve and collectible cards to find.

In this year’s Emergency Quest: Mystery, attendees will search for five collectible cards hidden throughout the conference space, each with a unique character and scenario offering clues that lead the player to the next card’s location.

“Emergency Quest went well beyond my expectations last year,” said ENA Marketing Specialist Aaron Coats. He created the challenge as a way to recognize the many types of nurses who attend the conference — from first-time attendees to emerging professionals and students to international nurses and even retirees — while encouraging this year’s attendees to see all of what the conference offers.

Upon arrival, all attendees will receive full instructions to Emergency Quest: Mystery in their registration bags. From there, they can begin following clues to find the five cards hidden in the Emergency Nursing 2024 conference areas.

Those who find all five cards will be able to solve the final “mega mystery,” which is one of the challenges in ENA’s other conferencewide game, Play. Score. Win!

Play. Score. Win! adds a bit more fun and games to the experience of exploring all that Emergency Nursing 2024 offers. Attendees will need to download the free Goosechase app to play along.

Participants earn points and climb the leaderboards by completing simple challenges, such as recording a video of themselves offering advice to new nurses or sharing a selfie at the Welcome Party. After participants upload each completed mission, they receive points. Meanwhile, other conference attendees can view the missions their peers have completed and like the posts on the app.

“For Emergency Nursing 2023, ENA upgraded Play. Score. Win! to a new platform that allows for a more engaging experience with photos, videos and text-based Q&A and that platform is making a comeback,” said ENA Digital Marketing Manager Tim Mucha.

“It’s exciting because attendees get to see other’s posts, bringing out the competitive spirit,” Mucha said. “It also is an additional thing they bond over while at the conference.”

Random drawings will be held among the recipients at three point levels. On Sept. 6 at 11:30 a.m. Pacific time, exhibitors will announce the winners sponsor-donated prizes at the ED Talks Stage. During the “Ignite the Future Celebration” on Sept. 7, ENA will announce the winners of the ENA and Emergency Nurses Week merchandise baskets and the grand prize winner, who will receive a registration to Emergency Nursing 2025.
